LODI, Wis. — SSM Health and the School District of Lodi teamed up on Thursday for a vaccine clinic offering five different shots to students and families.
Attendees were able to receive vaccines not just for COVID-19 and the flu but also HPV, tetanus-diphtheria-pertussis and meningococcus.
The goal of the event was to help get students and their families caught up on any immunizations they may have missed during the pandemic.
“We’ve also received requests from… many other school systems to offer similar services, and so we’re looking to hopefully expand from this school system to several offers within the region,” said Sarah Breon, the clinic operations manager for SSM Health’s mobile vaccine team.
SSM Health said the success of school-based and community-based vaccine clinics amid the pandemic helped pave the way for Thursday’s event.
