JOHNSON CREEK, Wis. — Three weak tornadoes touched down in Jefferson County last Wednesday, the National Weather Service said Monday, bringing the total from last week’s storms to seven.
The tornadoes, which touched down late Wednesday morning near Watertown, Johnson Creek and Sullivan, were all rated EF-0, the weakest classification on the Enhanced Fujita Scale. All three packed estimated peak winds of 65 miles per hour and were each on the ground for less than a mile.
The first of the three tornadoes was reported to have touched down near County Highway T and Willow Road west of Watertown at 11:13 a.m. Five minutes later, another tornado touched down near Siegmann Road and County Highway B west of Johnson Creek.
The final tornado touched down near County Highway E and Lundt Road south of Sullivan at 11:42 a.m.
Each tornado primarily caused damage to corn fields, though some trees and fences were also damaged, the National Weather Service said.
Last week, the agency confirmed four tornadoes touched town in the West Allis, Nashotah, Lake Geneva and Burlington areas.

No injuries or deaths were reported from any of Wednesday’s tornadoes.
