JANESVILLE, Wis. — Janesville police have arrested a man who allegedly stabbed a woman multiple times Wednesday night.
Authorities said they responded to the 1000 block of North Osborne Avenue around 6:30 p.m. for a report of a stabbing.
When they got there, police found a 19-year-old woman who had been stabbed an estimated five times, suffering life-threatening injuries. As of 11 p.m. Wednesday, the woman was still in surgery.
Police arrested a 19-year-old man from Janesville on a tentative charge of attempted first-degree intentional homicide for his alleged role in the stabbing. He had not yet been charged as of 9:15 a.m. Thursday.
Police did not share any further details about the attack.
