FITCHBURG, Wis. — Fitchburg police arrested two people in connection with a rollover crash and shots-fired call in a neighborhood off of Fish Hatchery Road, officials said Tuesday.
A 44-year-old man faces charges of felon in possession of a firearm and endangering safety by reckless use of a firearm. A 41-year-old woman was arrested on a parole violation.
Officers were sent to the 2900 block of Coho Street around 6:40 a.m. on Monday for a report of shots fired. A rollover crash was reported about 10 minutes later in the 2000 block of Post Road, roughly a block away from where gunshots had been reported.

Lieutenant Andrew McCarthy with the Fitchburg Police Department said no one was injured in the shooting or crash. McCarthy told News 3 Now that a suspect had entered a home near the scene of the crash, but law enforcement did not find anybody inside when searching the home alongside Madison SWAT officers. The suspect reportedly had ties to the home that was searched.
An investigation into the incident remains open, and police are looking for a car that they said was targeted in the shooting. The car was described as a white or silver sedan, and it likely has damage consistent with being shot by a shotgun.
Anyone with information on the car or those in it is urged to contact Fitchburg police.
