FORT MCCOY, Wis. — A group of Green Bay Packers players visited Fort McCoy last week, Department of Military Affairs officials said Tuesday.
Seven Packers, including running back Aaron Jones, toured the National Guard Challenge Academy campus and had lunch with cadets. The academy is a military-style environment meant to help teens 16-18 years old who are at risk of not completing high school.
The players spoke with cadets about dedication, personal sacrifices, and being yourself. They also compared the structure of their daily lives to life at the Academy and told the cadets to stay motivated.
Packers players have made visits to the Academy since 2004.
