MONONA, Wis. — Police in Monona are searching for a man who they said robbed a gas station in the city over the weekend.
The robbery happened around 8 a.m. Saturday at the Shell gas station at 1220 East Broadway. In a news release, Monona Police Chief Brian Chaney said the suspect showed a handgun and then hit and injured an employee with it.
The robber got away with “undisclosed property,” police said. He is described as a man with a medium to heavy build and was wearing a black hooded winter coat and black Puma running pants with blue or purple stripes.
