Members of the Dubuque City Council voted 7-0 to reschedule a planned work session to discuss the future of the Five Flags Center to December 5th. City officials are considering the next steps in relation to Five Flags Center, following a decision earlier this year to not go forward with a March referendum asking residents to approve the city borrowing up to $92 million to construct a new Five Flags Center. In Monday’s meeting agenda, city staff presented a new proposal to council members to invest $25.8 million into Five Flags to make renovations that would address a variety of needs and deficiencies. While no action was taken on the new proposal, it likely will receive discussion at the newly scheduled work session.
