MADISON, Wis. — Dane County officials have awarded dozens of local organizations with Dane Arts grants, the county’s Arts and Cultural Affairs Commission announced Wednesday.
In total, the county awarded 52 grants worth a combined $74,375 to groups specializing in community arts, history and culture. Funds will go toward a number of individual projects across the organizations.
“We are proud to have so many creative artists call Dane County home,” County Executive Joe Parisi said. “Through county funding, private donations, and ongoing partnerships, the ‘Dane Arts’ grants support the incredible work of our local artists and organizations in the Dane County community. Congratulations to this year’s recipients.”
Money for the grant program came from county funds paired with private donations from the Endres Manufacturing Company Foundation, the W. Jerome Frautschi Foundation, and the Pleasant T. Rowland Foundation.
The county’s next deadline for project grants is Feb. 1, 2023.
