RIDGEWAY, Wis. — Police said a Mount Horeb man suffered possible life-threatening injuries in a motorcycle crash that closed US Highway 18/151 at County HHH for a short time Saturday evening.
Officials say the man was the driver of the motorcycle.
According to police, he was trying to pass another vehicle and lost control. He was thrown from his motorcycle and sustained possible life-threatening injuries.
He was airlifted to a Madison hospital.
Police say speed and alcohol are considered to be the main factors in the crash.
He faces charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence-9th Offense, operating after revocation, and failing to install an ignition interlock device.
Other traffic citations are pending as the case is still under investigation.
All lanes are reopened.
