MADISON, Wis. — The River Food Pantry received two donations from wireless provider UScellular in honor of Giving Tuesday.
UScellular gave the food pantry $2,500 worth of food and bathroom items and another $2,500 cash donation for its veterans drive.
“Giving Tuesday is just one way to give to The River as we’re supporting veterans, but we support veterans all year long, as well as many, many families with food insecurity, so we’re always in need of funds and we’re always in need of volunteers giving their time,” executive director Rhonda Adams said.
Adams said an anonymous donor is also putting up $10,000 to match donations Tuesday.
