MADISON, Wis. — Mother Nature had good timing with the latest round of snow, as Madison’s BCycles are being packed up for the winter.
The BCycles closed operations at the end of Wednesday and will not be available again until March 15, 2023. When they return in the spring, more stations will be available. BCycle says it will have more information on the new locations as the spring approaches.
That expansion will continue a trend from recent years. This year, a total of eight BCycle stations were added after nine were installed in 2021.
This past year, BCycle also added 75 new bikes to its fleet and increased ride times for annual and monthly members from 60 minutes to 90 minutes per trip. In March, the company estimated it had about 400 bikes available for use in Madison.
