MADISON, Wis. — Madison Streets Division crews will treat the city’s salt routes early Tuesday, but officials warned that the salt will not be as effective.
Because of how cold temperatures are expected to be, the salt will take longer to melt the snow.
Snow is expected to impact Madison overnight on Monday and into Tuesday, leading to a messy morning commute.
Streets Division plows will start treating main roads when the snow begins, and will stay on the roads until the storm stops.
Drivers should be cautious of snowy, slick roads through Tuesday morning. Officials will give further updates as conditions change.
