Traffic Stop leads To Arrest For Possession of Firearms

An Iowa County Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop on Highway 18-151 near County Road YZ in Dodgeville Sunday around 2am. Upon making contact with the driver, the deputy found that the driver had a firearm in his lap and another on the passenger seat. Following an investigation, the driver, 26 year old Christian Torres Rivera of Milwaukee was arrested and charged with Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Going Armed with a Firearm While Intoxicated, Operating While under the Influence, and he was cited for Possession of THC, and Speeding. Torres Rivera was later released after posting bond.
