VERONA, Wis. — The Verona Police Department says it is investigating after a trailer was stolen from a construction site earlier this week, and they’re asking for your help in tracking it down.
According to police, an 8′ x 12′ K&K Manufacturing trailer was towed away by a single-cab pickup truck sometime between 3:45 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 15. Security cameras in the neighborhood were able to capture some images of the suspected thief’s truck as it left the 400 block of Robin Hill Road.
“We realize the pictures of the suspect vehicle are not great; however, after a canvas of the neighborhood, they are the only images we have at this time,” Verona Police Lt. Dustin Fehrmann said in a public statement.
The stolen trailer is black and had dual axels with white rims and a single rear door in the center of the trailer. There were no markings on the outside of the trailer other than the manufacturer’s label on the trailer tongue. Police say the trailer was full of construction equipment.
Police believe the truck captured in the security footage drove west on Robin Hill Road before going south on Hemlock Drive, then west on Lone Pine Way while leaving the neighborhood. They’re asking anyone who lives in the area to review their security footage and contact the department at 608-845-7623 if they have any video saved that would help the investigation.
