Dubuque man sentenced to probation for bar assault

A Dubuque man has been sentenced to 10 days in jail and two years of probation for assaulting another man, reportedly breaking his nose. 32 year old Zachary Torbol, was sentenced after pleading guilty to two counts of assault with injury. He initially was charged with one count of willful injury causing serious injury but pleaded to the lesser-included charge. The Dubuque County Sheriff’s Department was granted the discretion to allow Torbol to serve his jail sentence through home confinement with GPS monitoring.
