Police said one person was injured in a two-vehicle crash Sunday in Dubuque. 20 year old Samuel Oliver IV of Calumet City, Ill., was taken by private vehicle to UnityPoint Health-Finley Hospital for treatment of his injuries. According to Dubuque police, a vehicle driven by 72 year old Mary Spencer of Galena was traveling south on Elm Street near the intersections with Rhomberg and Garfield avenues and East 20th Street Sunday afternoon when she attempted to access driving directions from her vehicle’s navigational system. Spencer failed to stop for a red light and her vehicle struck Oliver’s vehicle, which was traveling west onto 20th Street from Garfield Avenue. Spencer was cited with failure to respond to a steady red light.
