Names Released From Crash Near Bernard

Dubuque County Sheriff’s Department officials have released the names of those involved in a two-vehicle crash with life-threatening injuries last week near Bernard. 23 year old Nico Sisler was injured in the crash. 65 year old Harold Middendorf of East Dubuque was traveling north on Highway 151 near Larkin Road at about 6 p.m. on April 17th hauling farm equipment, when he observed a vehicle approaching from behind. According to a sheriff’s department report, Sisler’s vehicle rear-ended the farm equipment being pulled by Middendorf. A report says Sisler sustained life-threatening injuries and was air flighted to Iowa City and is currently in critical condition. Neither Middendorf nor his passenger, 54 year old Robert Dietzel, were injured in the crash.
