The Mississippi River will continue to rise through this week as runoff from showmelt upstream in combination with rainfall runoff moves through the river system. National Weather Service meteorologist Dave Cousins says flooding is expected to reach 24.5 feet at the railroad bridge at Dubuque but that there are still questions as to when that will arrive. The potential crest timing is a range between Saturday and Monday.
