Man Found Dead at Campground in Richland County

Authorities in Richland County are investigating after they found a man dead at a campground. Emergency responders were first called to Bunker Hill Campground in Cazenovia around 9:30 a.m. Thursday to help with an unresponsive male. Once they arrived, crews determined the man was dead. Few other details were immediately available, but Richland County Sheriff’s Office officials described the circumstances surrounding the man’s death as “suspicious.” The Wisconsin Department of Justice’s Division of Criminal Investigation and the Wisconsin Crime Lab are helping with the investigation. Sheriff’s office officials said there’s no danger to the public.
