Northwest Illinois Woman Posts Bond For Murder Charge

The Jo Daviess County woman charged in the death of her husband’s grandmother has posted bond.    30 year old Shannon C. Bussan of Elizabeth was released from the Lafayette County Jail at Darlington last Friday, May 26th after posting $100,000 cash.  The original bond was $1 million cash.  Bussan shall not have any direct or indirect contact with the family of the victim with the exception of the defendant’s husband and their children.  She shall not leave Jo Daviess County in the State of Illinois, except for the purposes of attending court in Lafayette County.  She has been charged with first-degree intentional homicide in the death of 83-year-old Lynne Montgomery of Benton.
