The Salvation Army of Dubuque will kick-off its summer program to provide fans for low-income residents this week. Starting today, fans will be available from 9 a.m. to noon and 12:30 to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Salvation Army office on Iowa Street. Those receiving a fan will be asked to show an ID or another proof of residency, such as a bill with a name and address or a lease agreement. The program is open to residents of Dubuque, Dubuque County, Delaware County, and East Dubuque. The local Salvation Army also seeks new fans for the program if anyone would like to donate.
