Lane Closures on the Northwest Arterial in Dubuque

Lane closures on a busy Dubuque road have shifted as part of an ongoing construction project. Beginning today, the southbound left lane on the Northwest Arterial from Asbury Road to Pennsylvania Avenue closed to “prepare for head-to-head traffic and the final segment of reconstruction” in the Northwest Arterial state of good repair project. On Wednesday, July 5, the northbound lanes on that section of the arterial will close, and traffic will shift to head-to-head in the southbound lanes. The signalized intersection at Holiday Drive will be restricted to right-in, right-out only. According to a report, the project is expected to be substantially completed before students return to school in August.
