A Dubuque man charged with sexually assaulting a woman while holding a box cutter knife to her throat has had his trial date moved. 46-year old Jason Schmidt was scheduled to go on trial this week. According to a report, his trial date has been moved to December 12th in Dubuque County District Court. Schmidt has pled not guilty to the charges of second degree sexual abuse for the alleged incident on February 18th. He was arrested by Dubuque police after the woman filed the report and traffic camera footage was used in the investigation. Schmidt is in the Dubuque County Jail on 55-thousand dollars bond.
