Police say a Dubuque man is accused of tackling a teenager and punching him dozens of times in the head during a disturbance. 37 year old Scott Jameson of Dubuque was arrested around 9 p.m. Saturday at his residence on a charge of willful injury with injury. A report says that a 16-year-old male was taken by ambulance to UnityPoint Health-Finley Hospital for treatment of head lacerations and other injuries. The teenager told police that he had attempted to stop an argument between Jameson and the teen’s mother in the 600 block of Jefferson Street at about 7:40 p.m. when Jameson tackled the teen into an area of gravel and Jameson struck him “29 or 30 times” in the head. Jameson also allegedly slammed the teenager’s head against the foundation of a house. Witnesses from nearby Jefferson Park confirmed seeing Jameson assault the teenager. Jameson then left the scene in a vehicle.
