Crash in Lafayette County With No Injuries

A woman from Belmont was uninjured in a one-vehicle crash shortly after 6pm Monday. Benton First Response, Benton Fire, and Hazel Green EMS responded to County Highway I in Elk Grove Township for a one vehicle accident. 32 year old Jacey Shea of Belmont was traveling on County Highway I when she lost control of her vehicle, left the roadway, entered a ditch and struck a utility pole. Shea’s vehicle had disabling damage and was towed from the scene. A deputy from the Lafayette County Sheriff’s department and Benton Police assisted. Shea was cited for Failure to Maintain Control.
