Felon in Possession of a Firearm

On Thursday at 9:30 A.M., the Grant County Sheriff’s Office was notified of an incident on South Third Street in the Town of Muscoda. The Sheriff’s Office was informed that 53 year old Stephen Goodman of Buckeye Arizona, was in possession of a semi automatic handgun and had been seen with it in his hand. It was also reported that Goodman is a convicted felon. The Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Goodman is a convicted felon and deputies responded to a location where Goodman was located. Grant County Sheriff Deputies and Muscoda Police made spoke with Goodman outside a residence on South Third Street, where he was arrested. A search of the area was conducted and a semi-automatic pistol was located and seized by the Sheriff’s Office. Goodman was taken to the Grant County Jail, where he remains in custody. This matter will be referred to the Grant County District Attorney’s Office.
