3 injured in semi versus truck accident in Dubuque

Authorities said three people were sent to hospitals — with one airlifted — following a crash between a semi-tractor trailer and a pickup truck Wednesday in Dubuque County. The driver of the pickup truck was airlifted to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for treatment, while the other two occupants were transported to MercyOne Dubuque Medical Center, according to a press release from the Dubuque County Sheriff’s Department. The release does not name the injured parties. The crash happened at about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday on U.S. 151 at its intersection with 12 Mile Road. Authorities said a semi turned onto U.S. 151 from 12 Mile Road and was rear-ended by a pickup truck traveling north on U.S. 151. The Iowa State Patrol is investigating.
