One Person Injured in 2-Vehicle Crash in Dubuque

Authorities say one person was injured in a two-vehicle crash Friday near Dubuque. 81 year old Nancy Hammerand of Dubuque was taken by ambulance to UnityPoint Health-Finley Hospital for treatment of her injuries. According to the Dubuque County Sheriff’s Department, Hammerand was a passenger in a vehicle driven by 84 year old Lester Hammerand of Dubuque. A crash report states that the Hammerand vehicle was traveling south on South John Deere Road at 3:19 p.m. Friday when a northbound vehicle driven by 70 year old Daniel Davis of Dubuque attempted to cross the southbound lanes to turn left. The Hammerand vehicle struck the Davis vehicle on the passenger side.
