A drug take-back event held Saturday in Dubuque netted more than 400 pounds of items. The Dubuque Drug Task Force, in conjunction with the Asbury Police Department, participated in a nationwide effort sponsored by the Drug Enforcement Administration to collect old and unused prescription medications. Items collected included prescription medication, non-prescription medication, vitamins, herbals, supplements, syringes and other items. A report says the total weight of prescription and non-prescription medication collected was 228 pounds. The total weight of sharps collected was 210.4 pounds.
