A man has been sentenced to more than 12 years in federal prison for tampering with a witness involved in a trial related to a Dubuque incident. 43 year old Michael Ashford of Chicago received the 150-month prison term in the U.S. District Court in Cedar Rapids after a jury found him guilty of conspiracy to tamper with a witness and tampering with a witness. A release states that Ashford and his co-defendant, Jenise Colvin, spoke about their plan to contact a witness who had called 911 after a firearm was pointed at the witness while at a gas station in Dubuque.
