A two vehicle accident early Sunday morning in Dubuque County near Balltown sent both drivers to the hospital with serious injuries. The accident happened around 2:30 on the Balltown Road. Authorities say a vehicle driven by 26-year old Kyle Kutch of Sherrill collided head on with another vehicle driven by 45-year old Rebecca Scherbring of Dubuque.Both Kutch and Scherbring were taken by ambulance to MercyOne Hospital in Dubuque and then were transported to University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City. The accident remains under investigation.
