A Blanchardville man will spend over two years in prison after pleading guilty this past week to child pornography charges in Lafayette County Circuit Court. Logan Swiggum was initially charged with 11 counts of possession of child pornography. At a hearing on Monday, January 22nd, Swiggum pleaded guilty to 5 of those felony counts, as well as two misdemeanors for possession of THC and possession of a controlled substance. If convicted of all the counts, Swiggum faces a maximum penalty of 25 years in prison on the child pornography charges. In a separate case, he also pleaded guilty to felony fleeing to elude, possession of drug paraphernalia to manufacture meth, criminal damage to property, possession of an illegal article, and a misdemeanor charge of hit and run. Swiggum was arrested in March of last year.
