Dubuque Principal Will Lead New Preschool Center

A Dubuque Community Schools principal will become the inaugural leader of the district’s new preschool center. Susan Meehan will take the reins as administrator of the new center starting in the 2024-2025 school year, pending school board approval at its February meeting, a press release states. Meehan, who currently serves as principal of Irving Elementary School, will “oversee the launch of and programming in” the new preschool center opening in the fall of 2024 in the former Medline building on Chavenelle Road. Meehan also will oversee preschool programming compliance across the district and work with the district’s community preschool partners.
