Police said a second person was arrested in relation to a case in which young children became sick after ingesting marijuana gummies. 22-year-old Nathan Heming of Dubuque was arrested at 6:20 a.m. Wednesday at Dubuque Law Enforcement Center on a warrant charging three counts of child endangerment. Court documents state that Heming is the father of two of the children and told police the marijuana gummies belonged to him. On Sunday, 22-year-old Katelyn Brennan of Dubuque, also was arrested on a warrant charging three counts of child endangerment. Brennan is the mother of the children, aged 1, 2 and 3, who found a package of marijuana gummies in Brennan’s bedroom and ingested them in December. All three children “exhibited symptoms of marijuana intoxication,” and two suffered seizures.
