The FBI on Friday offered up a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of suspects in two armed robberies that occurred earlier this year in Monroe and Platteville. Officials said the first robbery occurred on January 26 in Monroe. According to the Monroe Police Department, three men entered a grocery store at around 3:20 p.m. and held a cashier and customer at gunpoint. The men took the cashier’s purse, which had a large amount of cash in it, as well as money from the cash register drawer. The FBI said the suspects are believed to be Hispanic, and fled the scene in a dark gray Honda Accord that was driven by a fourth suspect. The vehicle had damage to the front end, was missing the front Honda emblem, and had an indented hood. A dealership logo or temporary plate was attached to the rear. The second robbery occurred on February 10 in Platteville. The Platteville Police Department said three Hispanic men wearing hooded sweatshirts and medical masks entered Alexandra’s Mexican Store at around 3:20 p.m. One of the men pulled out a gun, and one person was pushed by a suspect in a red hooded sweatshirt. The men fled the area in a white 2012-2015 Honda Pilot. If you have any information on these incidents or the suspects involved, contact the FBI Milwaukee Office at 414-276-4684.
