Woman Arrested After Threatening Boyfriend

A Dubuque woman was arrested after police say she made threats against her boyfriend while wielding a meat cleaver. 27 year old Kyolnn Kios os Dubuque was arrested Wednesday at her residence on charges of domestic assault with use or display of a weapon, domestic abuse assault with injury, first-degree harassment and public intoxication. Reports say that police responded around 2:17 a.m. Wednesday to Kios’ residence after receiving a call from her boyfriend, 33 year old Cassan Jorju. Jorju reported that Kios had been drinking earlier in the evening and was upset about several issues. At one point, Kios went to the kitchen and grabbed a meat cleaver and raised it over her head while looking at Jorju and saying “Do you want to die today?’” She eventually returned the knife to the kitchen but returned and began physically assaulting Jorju before leaving the residence.
