Tri-States residents got to see a solar eclipse yesterday. It was not a total eclipse, the moon blocked 87% of the sun. The tri-state area was not in the path of totality, meaning local viewers saw only a partial eclipse. Still, many communities, schools, libraries and other organizations hosted watch parties and other viewing programs in honor of the occasion, which reached its peak at 2:06pm.
