A Dubuque man has been sentenced to 60 days in jail for assaulting three people at a Dubuque bar. 35 year old Charles Hyde received the sentence in Iowa District Court of Dubuque County after pleading to three counts of assault causing injury. Per a sentencing order from District Associate Judge Mark Hostager, Hyde also must serve two years of probation. According to reports, Dubuque Police Department officers responded at about 1:30 a.m. on February 10 to Next Phase on Central Avenue for a report of a physical disturbance. Upon arrival, multiple people involved with the disturbance were located. Witnesses said Hyde walked up to a group of people at the bar and asked if they wanted to fight. As the group attempted to leave, Hyde continued to argue with them before assaulting three of them by punching them in the face multiple times.Â
