There were no injuries and the damages to homes from Tuesday Night’s storm seem to be minor according to Grant County Officials. Emergency Management Director Steve Braun indicated what is being found, is damages to sheds, barns and silos.
Braun added there is no evidence of a tornado and it appears to be straight-line winds. The Potosi Fire Department had measured wind gusts of 85 miles per hour on Highway 133 North of Potosi. Braun thinks the wind gusts possibly did reach 95 mph. Two-inch size hail reported in the Kieler area with golf ball size hail in the central part of the county. Farmers are encouraged to report any and all damage to the Farm Service Agency.
