Dubuque’s Miller Riverview Park and Campground will remain closed to campers and pedestrians until further notice due to high Mississippi River levels. The park and campground will be closed at least through the Independence Day holiday. A report says the area will be inaccessible to those who want to view the July 3rd airshow and fireworks. Floodwaters are covering the western side of the campground, with access to the northern portion of the campground also limited. Water levels are expected to begin rising again this afternoon. Refunds for campers who made reservations prior to the closure on May 26 will continue to be issued until the campground reopens. The online reservation system will not accept any new reservations until the campground reopens. Call 563-589-4263 for more information.
