Hazardous Materials Secured and Removed In Iowa County

An Iowa County Sheriff Deputy responded to Highway 18 and Survey Road in the Township of Dodgeville Tuesday shortly after 6pm for a report of possible hazardous materials being located on a property. After an initial investigation, and for precautionary purposes, the Dane County Sheriff’s Office Hazardous Devices Unit was contacted to respond and assist. The area remained secured throughout the wait for additional resources. The Dodgeville Fire Department and Dodgeville EMS responded to the scene to stand by as a precaution while the Hazardous Devices Unit conducted business. The materials were safely secured and removed.
