A Dubuque man initially accused of attempted murder has pleaded guilty to lesser charges related to his role in a downtown stabbing. 33 year old Lorenzo Eggleston on Tuesday pleaded guilty to charges of willful injury, participating in a riot and assault with a dangerous weapon. Eggleston had been set to stand trial this week ahead of entering the plea. A sentencing date is set for October 9 at which prosecutors are expected to recommend a 17-year prison sentence.
