A recent report has southwest Wisconsin health care leaders hopeful about the future of the industry’s workforce. The state’s Task Force on the Healthcare Workforce released its report this month detailing its recommendations to develop sustainable, long-term solutions to health care workforce challenges. Gov. Tony Evers created the task force, which consists of several state health care leaders, at the start of the year. Multiple health care leaders in Grant County said they were particularly excited to see recommendations that would help increase pay for health profession educators, allow more students to enroll in health profession programs and make the licensing process move more quickly.
