Police said an area man was injured Friday in a Dubuque crash. 44-year-old Olin L. Skattum of Peosta was evaluated on scene by the Dubuque Fire Department for minor injuries and cleared. The incident occurred at around 8:45 a.m. Friday at the intersection of Bluff and Ninth Streets. According to a police report, Skattum was driving east on Ninth Street and had a steady red signal as he was approaching the Bluff Street intersection but proceeded through the intersection, hitting a vehicle driven by 41-year-old Gene R. Kilcoyne of Durango who was driving south on Bluff Street and had a green light. Skattum was cited with failure to respond to a steady red signal.
