Mark Dalsing Memorial Run is May 3

A memorial run/walk event honoring Dubuque’s former police chief will raise funds for an organization that creates special bedrooms for children with cancer. The Mark Dalsing “Live Like Mark” Memorial 5K Run will be held from 8 to 11 a.m. May 3, starting at Heritage Pond. Dalsing spent 32 years with the Dubuque Police Department. Dalsing retired in September 2021. He died unexpectedly on April 15, 2022. Registration for the race is $35. Proceeds benefit the Special Spaces Dubuque.
