On Tuesday, the Dubuque Area Chamber of Commerce and Greater Dubuque Development Corporation hosted a virtual town hall to provide updates about Dubuque’s air service. Mayor Brad Cavanagh talked about the effort to bring air service to Dubuque and that the momentum needs to continue.
Members of the panel mentioned prices for flights from Dubuque are comparable to other area locations and the Dubuque experience will make a difference. Mattt Skinner with Global Flight Solutions spoke on the benefits of flying from Dubuque.
The Dubuque flights were called life effective because it saves time and effort. The example used was a family vacation doesn’t need to have the extra drive time with unhappy children in the backseat, instead they can take off directly from Dubuque. Overall, the town hall was a reminder to use the service because if it’s not used Dubuque can lose flight service again. As Mayor Cavanagh said
