The Clayton County Sheriff’s Office, alongside the Clayton County Medical Examiner’s Office, has identified the body recovered from the Mississippi River on Saturday, as 41-year-old Neven Soknic, who was reported missing on July 9. Soknic’s body was found by a fisherman north of the Cassville ferry landing. The cause and manner of death are still under investigation. An autopsy was conducted by the Iowa State Medical Examiner’s Office, with preliminary findings awaiting toxicology results. Authorities currently do not suspect foul play.
