The Highway 61/County B/Abing Road intersection between Lancaster and Potosi in Grant County will become an all-way stop beginning today, according to WIS DOT. In addition to the existing stop signs on County B and Abing Road, crews will be placing stop signs with flashing red beacons in both directions on Highway 61. Message boards will be deployed temporarily following installation to advise motorists of the new traffic control. The all-way stop will remain in place at the intersection until construction of a roundabout, scheduled for 2031. The change at the intersection comes after two fatal motorcycle crashes happened two days apart at the intersection in August 2024.
