A simple backyard song request turned into a surprise gift from Taylor Swift for an 8-year-old fan named Madeline.
In a video shared online, Madeline heard her neighbor, musician Ethan Hayes, playing guitar outside and decided to ask for a Taylor Swift song. Instead of walking over, she wrote her request on a piece of paper, folded it into a paper airplane, and sent it over the fence.
Hayes found the note and played Love Story while Madeline listened and sang along. Her mother recorded the moment and posted it on TikTok, where the clip quickly spread and drew millions of views.
The video eventually reached Swift. She responded by sending Madeline a signed guitar and a handwritten note, encouraging her to try learning the instrument herself. Hayes also received a guitar after helping create the moment.
