University of Dubuque revamps LIFE program

The University of Dubuque has redesigned its Learning Institute for Fulfillment and Engagement (LIFE) program to give adult learners more control over their education than ever before. Launching spring 2026, LIFE HyFlex maintains UD’s unique one class at a time adult learner format while adding new and improved flexibility. For each five-week class session, students will be able to choose to attend classes in-person, online synchronously in real-time from anywhere, or online asynchronously by watching a recorded class. Students will be able to mix and match each session at LIFE – Dubuque and LIFE – Cedar Rapids sites based on class availability in each five-week term.  LIFE HyFlex will empower adult learners to earn their degrees on their terms, at their pace through new flexibility and affordable undergraduate and graduation tuition.
